    "Buy a Colt" they said...

Yeah, but then again, there are those who scoffed at $79 , arsenal rebuilt, numbers matching Mosin/Nagant 91/30's....when they were plentiful, yet are now paying $250+ for the same rifles. Same goes for the $299 Swiss K-31's, now $500 rifles. Bought a Norinco Maadi AK in 1991. $300 bucks. Find...

Removing the Bullet Button on a CA M&P 15 Sport 2

Holy ****! After digging thru this thread , and trying to understand the requirements....I am glad to say....I am from the Great REDNECK State of Alabama! No "bullet buttons" here. No "Mag Cut-offs". No ...really NOTHING to do with your firearm....other...than...no caliber under .243 for Deer...

Not to be the "Party Pooper" here, but...

I've shot it....It shoots...every time. Accurate? Better than my 60 year old eyes. Add on's? NOPE! It's ah "Grab-n-Go". Ammo? Got plenty. An AK on one shoulder....M&P on the other....carrying the CETME 7.62....with Makarovs, Rugers, and an obscure P-38....on the "fly"....I'm good.... Family Farm...

Not to be the "Party Pooper" here, but...

After reading many of the threads here on the M&P 15....I wonder WHY did you buy one? Barrel changes. Sights. Mags. Lowers. Trigger pull? 100,000 rounds? Why upgrade? I understand many people want to "evolve" a weapon to fit their desires. I've scoped more than a few Mausers. I just want...

    600 rds later...Sport 2...

Yeah. I've got a Friend who reloads 7.7 Arisaka and 7.35 Carcano rounds for me. I bought all the dies, etc. Thought about getting into it myself, but I don't want to "screw up"....

    600 rds later...Sport 2...

Yeah, I know, 600 doesn't seem like much to many shooters. However, I have many "mouths" to feed. On a "limited" (Wife, Minister of Funds) budget. 7mm, 8mm, 7.62/.308, 7.5 Swiss, 7.62x39, 9mm....etc. Get the picture? New to the AR. AK 47 "Man" since the early '90's. Norinco, Maadi, Nodac Spud...

    Another run on magazines?

I doubt it. Most of the Guys around here have already gotten as many as they want, PLUS there's a ton of them available here. I only have 5 for my Sport 2. Planned on a few more before the LV tragedy. Got 30 H&K and 10 CETME 20rd mags, plus 3 30 rounders for the PTR and CETME I have, which...

Factory hand guard strong enough for vertical grip?

Thanks for all of the info. Reasoning for the grip would be because the round factory fore arm feels a little strange to me. I may get used to it. My AK's have "slab sided" Galil hand guards. The Cetme and PTR have slab sided guards. Most of my milsurp bolt guns have finger grooves. I am 60...

Factory hand guard strong enough for vertical grip?

I can get a small rail. Just wondered was the hand guard strong enough to hold it and a grip. Nothing else will be added. If not, what should I get. Not wanting to spend a large amount.

    Yep, it's a "keeper"...

I know, I sound as excited as an Ol Maid on her first date, but I am very pleased with the Sport 2. My first post here was about it not "charging" after about 3 or 4 rounds. Thanks to input here, I was able to solve that problem. Think it was more of a "lube" problem than anything else. Ran...

    Sport II impressions. 300rds. later...

Yeah, I know, 300 rds. aint much. But! when I go to shoot, I have to drive 15 miles to the "Family Farm". Each time, I have to take as many of my "pets" that I want to shoot. Which ALWAYS includes my CETME 7.62...a AK47...usually my AK63DS...and one, or two, of my bolt rifles...98K, Mosin...
