Finally got my sd40ve sent off for repairs. smith and wesson should have it by wednesday. i had purchased a rear m&p sight and asked if they could so kindly install that for me while they are replacing the striker. also, didn't send a magazine in with it (we'll see if they send one along...

i tried searching the database for an answer to this question. are you able to convert a 10 round sd/sigma magazine to 14 rounds by replacing the magazine spring or does the magazine have some sort of "restrictor" or is it designed at the base of the magazine not to allow for modifications...

congrats on your purchase, i also have the sd40ve. i would recommend getting a lot of range time, learning the proper mechanics of shooting and mastering the trigger pull. the trigger on the SD has made me a better shooter when i use my M&P 9. you will find a lot of great info on this forum...
