    Model 13-3 issues

Good question. I didn't at first, but eventually I did, and yes, light strikes.

    Model 13-3 issues

Firing pin is good, headspace checks out good, I already tried a new Wolff mainspring. Another thing I just tried is the mainspring from a model 10. The trigger pull is easily 4 lbs heavier on the model 10 than the model 13 is. But with the model 10 spring installed in the model 13, the trigger...

    Model 13-3 issues

I bought this gun new back in 86 and I always used Federal Primers until recently, so I will go back to them. I have just installed a primer cup on the strain screw, will try that out. I don't have a trigger pull gauge, but improvising with a luggage scale shows about a 2 lb increase in trigger...

    Model 13-3 issues

I have been experiencing light primer strikes with my handloads, shooting double action. Primers are CCI. They touch off on the second hit always. I thought maybe the primer seating was the culprit, so I tried seating them as deep as I could with my RCBS hand primer. No change. Then I seated...

    Where are the 63's??

I have a model 63 five inch barrel. It is very accurate, but I have to admit that to me, the barrel looks a bit odd on this revolver. I prefer four inch or less on a j frame.

What is it with the pencil barrel model 10's

I have one of each. I never used to think the pencil barrels looked good, but I do now.:):)

    new to me 34-1

Just bought this .22, made in 1975, looks nearly new, should last me forever, I think. Saw it advertised in a gun paper I subscribe to with a price of $350.00, Had a few pics, but nothing clear. I e-mailed and asked for better ones, and several days later he did send me a bunch. I thought I had...

    ILS holes as oil ports

I put a couple drops down into the innards occasionally, and use low pressure air from my computer duster to move it around a little. Can't hurt, and shouldn't get any rust starting.

The old cast iron skillet at work again.

I have one of those Wagner grill pans with the raised ridges that I use every single day to grill meat. It keeps the meat off the fat. Lodge makes a pan like this still. To clean, I simmer a bit of water for a few minutes, and then paper towel while still hot. Oil later.

Oh My, Model 28s Are Oh So HIGH !!/update

I had one back then, never cared for it. Didn't do a thing for me. Now my model 13, I will never sell.:D

    640 carry comp

I bought one of these a while back, supposedly un-fired. It looked pretty good, but there was evidence of more than just factory test firing. The price was right, and that alone wouldn't concern me, but I noticed that the front of the cylinder dragged on the forcing cone when I closed it with...
