    Need help with 1903a3

Oh!! I forgot to look at picture. It has NOT been drilled for scope and the wood I can see looks very nice. The metal looks nice too. I'll bet the bore is just as good.

I agree, and if there are no holes drilled for a scope or aftermarket sights. I have several of these and they were really fun when ammo was cheap.

Bobb Hammer Model 60, jams the cylinder, fixed

For those who haven't been following this saga, everything works now. I'm missing a couple of parts, but it still fired 50 rounds today."Smoothly". No binding-up and no punching an "oval hole"for the firing pin" to push metal out and "grab" the cylinder.(like before). Armorer got me aimed in...

Can Anyone Explain These Barrel Scratches?

That story reminds me of a young friend who was meeting me at the outdoor range here. He stopped at his grandfathers house and asked to borrow his guns, lol. He was told no. I quickly gave my grandson a nice rifle (CZ carbine) so he would never ask to borrow my other guns. Then they moved to Tenn.

Hey, maybe everytime he went hunting he needed to chuck it over a fence, before climbing over it himself

That is the strange part. The rest of the gun is good shape.

Lots of good ideas so far. But this one would explain the rounded muzzle and the deep cuts.

    Anyone shoot bowling pins?

You may be disappointed because they won't fall over. I put little stick-on targets on fron of bowling pin to show it was hit.

Saw this 22 bolt gun for sale. The entire rifle is perfect except for this area (not even one more scratch)(actually a nice rifle that could be "crowned". My guess is there was a rattlesnake in the rocks and he was jabbing at it. Must "click" on pic to enlarge. What is your guess????
