Oh!! I forgot to look at picture. It has NOT been drilled for scope and the wood I can see looks very nice. The metal looks nice too. I'll bet the bore is just as good.
For those who haven't been following this saga, everything works now. I'm missing a couple of parts, but it still fired 50 rounds today."Smoothly".
No binding-up and no punching an "oval hole"for the firing pin" to push metal out and "grab" the cylinder.(like before).
Armorer got me aimed in...
That story reminds me of a young friend who was meeting me at the outdoor range here. He stopped at his grandfathers house and asked to borrow his guns, lol. He was told no.
I quickly gave my grandson a nice rifle (CZ carbine) so he would never ask to borrow my other guns.
Then they moved to Tenn.
Saw this 22 bolt gun for sale. The entire rifle is perfect except for this area (not even one more scratch)(actually a nice rifle that could be "crowned". My guess is there was a rattlesnake in the rocks and he was jabbing at it.
Must "click" on pic to enlarge. What is your guess????
OK My job is done here. I filed-off the raised area with a very fine file, and returned to original hammer, See pic. Thanks for everyones help. and scooter didn't get a book commission if book was bought. I'm only missing a couple parts, not too bad. I'm just kidding.
Oh ya, I put in some...
