Very true but the average citizens panic when involved in a gunfight and will not have a chance to aim at the proper spots to stop the threat. Bullets will be flying all over the place. A skilled person will definitely hit its target.

The reason I want to do it is because melonite evntually wears off and the the gun will look like **** while the plain stainless steel look will never look crappy or loose color because it doesn't have any.

Always clean and lubricate a new gun before taking it to the range to shoot and always clean it after.
I went to shoot my M&P 45 again today. That thing has quite a bark. I tested some Hornady HP rounds 185 gr and then shot some more FMJ ammo through it. Behaved like a lady. Came back home, cleaned her out and she's ready to go again.
