The reason I want to do it is because melonite evntually wears off and the the gun will look like **** while the plain stainless steel look will never look crappy or loose color because it doesn't have any.

Did you clean the gun before shooting it for the first time? Always clean and lubricate a new gun before taking it to the range to shoot and always clean it after.

Also 9mm cost less than .40 caliber. I think they are trying to cut cost too.

I went to shoot my M&P 45 again today. That thing has quite a bark. I tested some Hornady HP rounds 185 gr and then shot some more FMJ ammo through it. Behaved like a lady. Came back home, cleaned her out and she's ready to go again.
