I'll try calling again tomorrow but the last time I checked they weren't available direct. On top of that, I would expect that I could find a better price somewhere else. I've never paid the MSRP on any of the guns I've ever purchased.
Does anyone know any online retailer selling the S&W M&P uppers. Specifically, I want to purchase one of the piston models but I can't find a local dealer that seems interested in looking for one for me. I have an OR model and I've got dillusions about setting up a Pelican case with a complete...
S&W branded 2 piece Troy
I have the OR also and I simply called S&W and ordered the Troy 2 piece 4 rail that comes on some of their other models. Costs about the same as other "good" aftermarket versions and its got the M&P logo on it! I think I paid right around $100.
I just replaced the original forearm on my M&P 15OR with a factory replacement Troy industries quad rail. $133 delivered. This is the same one on the M&P15X. Its very easy to install and a quality part.
I saw this "Sport" version in the new products online catalog on the Smith website. I noticed the price too and the lack of a forward assist. Gotta wonder where else corners were cut to shave the MSRP? Not having a forward assist won't matter to alot of people who just want a black gun...
Do you mean you want to install a pic rail on the stock forearm? If so, you'll find tons of options just by googling AR15 accessories. Brownells would be a good first place to look. I have the same gun and have done several things with the stock forearm but you could always switch it out...
I called Magpul and got the new 10th anniversary catalog sent to me. In it, it describes the new version MBUS and shows an overlay depiction of the new and old versions. The new one is just a little smaller dimensionaly.
I just bought a CAA bipod, model BPO. They make two different styles and the one I got has a bracket the legs attach to which mounts with a picatinny style mount so it goes on my 15-22 real easy and I also bought a short (2-3") picatinny rail that mounted to the bottom side of my handguard on...
Gadzooks, I do have a lot to learn! Collector/accumulator, I don't think I even considered those labels when I made this post! :>) I do appreciate everyone's wisdom though and am grateful for your responses.
I'd like to elaborate about myself and my question a little more. I come from a...
If I want to create a collection for myself now and something that my son will be proud to inherit someday, I'm considering doing so with those fine guns that have been branded M&P through the years. Please advise me on how difficult, costly, etc. this would be. I'm not insinuating that it has...
