No I haven't shot them yet but so far I like the feel of the XDS in my hands better. I have medium sized hands so that's just a personal preference. XDS also feels a little top heavier. Like the sights on the XDS. The slide on the Shield is a lot stiffer so I'm not sure if it needs more break...

I just picked up a Shield and a XDS 9mm at LGS. They had 2 of the Shields and 1 XDS so I got one of each to make sure I didn't regret it : ) I did what someone recommended here. I went to S&W site and searched for local LGS. I started dialing down the list and found one a little over an hour...
