    BG 380 Painting those sights

Clean it good with alcohol before painting to remove any oil. Mask it off with tape, let it dry overnight. Mine seems to last forever.

    115 or 124 grain during break-in period?

I think after a 100 rounds or so my trigger got a little smoother and the gun was smoother/easier to rack. But it has worked without issue from the word go. A critic could argue that I just got use to the trigger and it didn't change just my perception of it, they might be right... I use 115...

    Hoosier here

Just saying hi. New to this forum, not new to fire arms. Current S&W handguns are a 9mm shield and a SD 9VE. Like them both, shield is my EDC.

Your favorite gun-- you never EDC?

I have an old Marlin lever action 22 with hooded front site. I squirrel hunt with it. But its hard to find an IWB holster that fits.

9mm vs 45 ACP in a Shield single stack EDC pistol

Looks like lots of rabbit holes around here to run down... As far as YOUR question; My EDC is a 9mm shield. I feel like it is the biggest gun I can CC everyday. Fits my hand pretty well. I like the 9mm because I can shoot it better than a 45. Perhaps because 9mm is cheaper and I shoot it...

Shield 45 EDC Safety model or NO SAFETY?

My shield has a thumb safety. Its my EDC, I like it that way. For me operating the safety is as automatic as pulling the trigger. If I was buying new and was unsure if I wanted it, I would buy with. You can always choose to not use it.
