    Need help with value

Hi - I'm thinking about selling a M-10 and need your help in determining what to ask for it. The gun is a blue 4" thin barrel model 10-9 in approximately +/- 95% condition with a square butt. According to the serial, it was made in 1988. What makes this gun somewhat unique is that the back...

    Even Bother to Reload?

Even bother... I didn't read all of the replies to your post, but from what i did read, you got a lot of good advice. If it hasn't already been said, you can look at reloading from two perspectives. The first is that you will save money by doing it yourself. The other side of the coin is...

    Need help with value

I recently traded into a Model 17-2 which I would rate at 95%-98%. According to the serial #, it was made in 1960. In addition to the gun, there is another cylinder chambered for the .22 rimfire magnum. The cylinder is mounted on its own ejector rod, and has a small letter "M" stamped on the...

Need Help with safety & value of M-17 converted to .22 WMR

Thanks Thanks to both of you for taking the time to reply. I checked the SAAMI website, and don't think excessive pressure should be an issue. I'll have to contact S & W to find out about the .22 lr cylinder. sergeant042

Need Help with safety & value of M-17 converted to .22 WMR

I recently acquired a 6" M 17-2 in a trade with a friend. The gun is about 90%-95%, perfect timing, locks up tight, etc. It was, however, modified by a gunsmith to chamber .22 WMR rounds. My friend tells me it shoots "real well" and he's had no problems with it. I would like to tap your...

    Need your help-Should I buy this 3" M-36?

I made the mistake of stopping in at my favorite gun shop, and saw a 3" M-36 which caused my heart rate to increase. It is a M-36 no dash, 3" SB, Ser.#9J36XX (mfg. 1971-1972?). The gun looks to be unfired - there is no blue wear, no dings or scratches, perfect grips (w/ gold medallion), etc...

has anybody used/heard of this ammo

Thanks Thanks for the info and quick reply. I'll try calling next week. Do you know if the American Ammunition bullets are jacketed or merely copper washed lead? Having never used the copper coated bullets B-4, I'm a little concerned over bore fouling and cleaning.

has anybody used/heard of this ammo

I was recently given some ammo from companies I've never seen before. The first is some 9mm from American Ammunition in Miami, Fl. It's in a 50 rd. clear plastic container and labeled 115 gr. Complete Copper Coat. The brass has a head stamp of "A-MERC" 9mm. I was also given some .303 Savage...

Help with value M 10-9 Hong Kong Police

Although I've enjoyed reading many sights on this forum, this is the first time I've been motivated enough to ask the knowledgeable members for their insight. Earlier today I saw a S&W M 10-9 at a local gun shop. It was stamped RHKP on the backstrap, and had a lanyard loop attached to the...
