    SIG P320 Discharges?

Tangential to Sig discussion, but knowledge of history is important. Remembering the Waldo Lydecker/Dean Speir multi-week expose' in Gun Week -- mid 1980's???- early NY area police Glocks were also firing when the slide was dropped to load the pistol. In those articles, firing when struck from...

    S&W Holster Marked S1300 #63

From a list compiled from several catalogs: Fit code 63 = S&W J frame, Charter Arms, Colt D frame 3 inch barrel Conceivably, the "by Bianchi" holster might have a different fit.

    Safariland 29 Colt holster

20 to 50+ years old; they stretch. I have a Safariland 29 marked S&W MED that holds an N frame. Possibly an Anaconda, of course. I don't recall how Safariland might have marked that.

    S&W Holster Question

A couple of years ago our Canadian friend and I compiled a fit chart across several years of catalogs and posted a multiple page thread with catalog page pictures. It ought'a be a notable. Of course there are many pages on the forum with charts and catalogs. Full list is attached as pdf. Link...

    Howard Stacy Becknell Holster Maker

Forum member -db- has one like yours in black for a 5 inch GM that is pictured in the book Holstory by Red Nichols and John Witty. They note the wide fender belt loop, thick welt and double row stitching. There was no comment on the unusual but not unique alignment of the basketweave pattern...

Has my 14-3 been modified to take .357?

Historical point: June, 1987 Combat Handguns article on the custom snub M&P by Travis Strahan. Those revolvers have been discussed here in the past. Strahan does not make the claim that .38 and .357 metal and heat treat are the same. Ayoob: "I'm not going to get into the theory here that...

Maybe an obscure holster question, but I KNOW someone knows

If you mean the style like the Bucheimer Perfect Fit model shown, just about every maker made small versions. Fit code 10 in 1956 for the Perfect Fit model and 410 for the Easy Off line. #20 for small autos in one Hunter chart.

    Bianchi Catalog 1967-1968

"I have a service holster only marks are 41 over 4" I think it's safe to say that the "41 4" holster is not a Bianchi. Some makers used a caliber/frame size code marking, so with that system the holster would be for a .41 frame size with a 4 inch barrel. That would suggest a Colt OP/Army...

Question Myres "Made In Mexico" Holster.

The "Medley Brush" was intended at a retention device. It was favorably noted by Jeff Cooper in his 1958 Fighting Handguns book!! 1956 patent 2,758,762 attached as pdf. The invention relates to a personal weapon carrier and has as its general object to provide a safety device for positioning...

Bucheimer and Bucheimer-Clark holster fit charts - 1953-1975 & later

Red has dropped a "new" to me fit chart with 3 indicating a 2 inch K frame M&P. On this chart, 1 indicates a 2 inch J-frame, so that doesn't resolve the previous C-1 question. The chart appears to be basically the Pacemaker PM list without the PM. It is used for a couple holster models, but...

    Schwiebert Combat Grips?

Success I've made digital contact with Lou. He is the Ballistics guy. Working out how all three of us can discuss with him.

    1945 Star Model B

The grips on the Star may be from custom maker Jean St. Henri who made grips into the 1980's. He was reportedly a friend of gunsmith Jim Hogue, and for sure Hogue guns in magazine articles had his grips. I bought my first pair mail direct in 1977. The trapezoidal Combat model stands out. Look...

Andy is talking about a different holster - not yours. It all gets confusing sometimes.

    Schwiebert Combat Grips?

Another California maker listed in the book by James Mason was J.M. Evans, 5078 Harwood Road, San Jose, CA. Sadly no grips pictured. Ever heard of J.M. Evans? Me neither. Addendum 2: Vtgw found a Jerry Evans making ivories. More to come. I thought I had information on the Womack in the book...
