Yes..Yes...to all above. It is a very good gun. My .40 is equipped with an Apex Tactical spring kit, Ameri-Glo sights and Pearce grip extensions. For target I load lite rounds and the spring kit helped my ability to put a group in the red...even though I still have a couple of flyers. Sure...
Thanks for the info, Scooter. I do CAS and for smokeless I load Clays in .38's and they are pretty light. In fact in my Ruger Vaqueros there is hardly any recoil or flip at all...of course they are a heavy pistol and a revolver. I am not very experienced on semi-autos except for my military .45...
I just got my S&W Shield 40 and took it to the range yesterday. Had some Remmy 180 gr bullets and found after about 50 rounds that my old arthritic wrists just about had had enough. Of course for carry I won't care and will have a good quality round in the mag but for range work is anybody doing...
