    Model 10 serial numbers

Stingray, sorry for the loss of the gun, I am realy curious how this all turns out for you & the other guy. Please keep us informed, because I think something like that could happen to anyone without being an expert on a perticular model gun reguardless of brand or type. Thanks.

    CRAZY High Prices

I agree with you perrazi. My other hobbie is old cars & when someone says a model or options are rare, it's not hard to find out, but I haven't seen to much about gun production exept for the few bits on here. So I would automaticaly think someone is trying to pull something over on me with a...

    S&W knock-off?

I agree SGT the "lines" of the gun looked like a Smith, but to me it seemed like it was not all the way finished. Thanks for the input.

    S&W knock-off?

I was in one of my favorite gun shops (kill'in time cause thats all I can afford right now) & I saw what looked almost identical to a j frame type revolver. (38special) I am NOT an expert on all the different types but I do know it was a small frame & had a 2 or 3" barrel. It looked alot like...

    SAAAAAIIIIINNNNTTTTTSSSS

Back in the late 90's I worked fo PHI & was not much of a football fan at the time but I do remember going to work, driving from Laffeyette to Morgan City, listening to a radio station trying to give away tickets to a Saints home game. I don't remember who they were playing( I know it was a team...

    Model 10 delemma

I agree w/clang444. I am no expert but, I have restored & refinished lots of non-gun parts by using the "home re-blueing" method. Follow the directions, be patient & be prepared to do several applications & it will look fine & be durable enough for a gun you plan to shoot regularly in my oppinion.

The ultimate Highway Patrolman thread.including N frame ser# ranges

I have a 28-2 when I checked the s/n on this thread it seems to be around '78. My question is since I got it with aftermarket grips how do I know what factory grips should have came with it? I would like to have the original grips for it.

Made an offer, got a counteroffer.... should I?

I voted other, because I think I have seen a similar model in similar condition in a shop just down the street from me & don't quote me, but I think it was in the high $500's. Now it's been over 20years since I lived in Jersey & buying any gun there was like trying to shoot pool with a rope...

    My First Pistol

Thanks to all I just wish I could figure out how to get my Wife's camera to talk to the computer so I can post a picture. To me it looks almost in mint condition.

    Thinking about getting into reloading.

I know I didn't start this thread ,but I have a few questions as well. 1. about on average, how many times can you reload the brass? 2. is it possible to cast bullets that need a copper jacket?

    My First Pistol

Hello All, I've been lurking around here for a while & it has been a world of information & help that I haven't found anywhere else, so thank you all! Which is why I'm posting today, also I was finally able to sneek my wifes camera away to post a picture. Hopefully my lack of computer skills...
