So I dremel polished this thing and it turned out pretty well. The Nickel didn't wear through anywhere even if it appears that way in the photos.
Updated photos.
Both are +P. Well 65 is a .357 mag and can shoot .38+p and the 64 is .38 which can shoot .38 +P as well.
I always reference this with cartridge selection. Notice his first comment that placement is essential and therefore training is the most important variable in the equation.

Does anyone have a link on the proper method of polishing. Is this a dremel tool job? I need a step by step instructional list or something like that so I don't do anything to make the gun worse off than it is. It doesn't have the factory nickel stamp so how do I differentiate between hard...
Mechanically it is in great shape I am expecting it to be a good shooter. I was even thinking about getting it refinished. Maybe something like a Black-T or NP3 that is kinda why I was asking about the cleaning process. Thanks for the help guys.
Hey I picked up the 19-4 for 300 bucks and I was wondering how would I go about cleaning it? Maybe a little history on the gun.
I believe the Serial is 87K5***. Thanks for any info
Thanks so much for the help that is exactly what I was looking for. I took the side plate off and it is so incredibly dirty. I will post before and after pictures. That way you can see how your info has helped.
Would it be possible for someone to either post a picture of one of these guns with...

I looked it up in the SCS&W and I think I have the right model. How would I go about fixing this thing up. How much do you think it would cost me? I am a student and can't...
Looking to pick up some of these.
I am looking for ones to collect. All barrel lengths except for variants. I don't need box or paperwork. Just looking for a nice finish and mechanically sound.
19 - 19-4 (No variations or engravings) I prefer blue but will consider Nickel
66 no dash or 66-1...
.45 acp 7+1 and is a beautiful gun. The CDP has all the bells and whistles from Kimber as well as rounded edges to prevent snagging while carry. I also believe the frame is aluminum that cuts down on weight. I had a very similar one in the Kimber Tactical Ultra II and it was an awesome gun. Bump...
Hello all I am a student in NOLA. Who Dat and I have been in love with revolvers since I held my fathers K-Frame as a child. I recently got back into them and purchased a 19-4. What a beautiful firearm. I hope you guys/gals don't mind me picking your brains every once in a while. I don't have...
