    A pretty nice 19-4, 4"

Last week I got a very nice model 19-4, ser. no. 55K28xx. As shown in my photos it is in fine condition, save for an odd blotch in the bluing beside the S&W logo on the side plate. I'm not interested in refinishing the gun, but is there something like a spot-repair for that blotch?

    ***Updated***Post 46*** Is this 3” model 66-4 worth $700?

For comparison, last week I got a very nice 66-2, 2.5", with a excellent holster, for $650 at a gun show.

    Concealed carry for bicyclists?

Thanks to all I have some good leads to check out. Though I have a 2.5" M66 which I love, I think I'll stick with a 5-shot snubbie. I bicycle in warm country that makes it harder to wear enough clothing to do much cover. Getting just the right belly/fanny pack looks like the best option.

    Concealed carry for bicyclists?

Do any of you have a comfortable solution for carrying a small snubbie while riding a bicycle? The best I have found is a small belly bag, but I'd be interested in other solutions that have been found to be comfortable.

    Shot a Security Six.....

I bought used a SS Security Six 4" in 1982, and it is a great shooter that gives me confidence that it can take any amount of abuse and keep shooting. Though I own a bunch of Smiths, including Model 66, I still am fond of the Ruger and will die owning it, I imagine.

    Vintage S&W ads

A friend of mine was doing research on the Klondike gold rush of 1898 and found a wonderful old ad. That spurred me to search Google Images and found a couple more. I'll bet there are more. Do any of you have any in your collection? See attached photos.

What's been done to this Mod 13?

Thanks, guys! I attach a macro photo which may help identify the finish on this gun. The color is different from the earlier photos, as this one is under artificial light, while the others were in daylight.

What's been done to this Mod 13?

Happily, this gun produces excellent primer impressions, and even when the screw is tightened home, the trigger is exceptionally smooth.

What's been done to this Mod 13?

Thanks, guys! Thanks for all the helpful info. Reading up on Robar NP3, it does look like that is what I have. Thanks too for the tip about the spring screw. On reading Double-O-Dave's tip, I was just about to ask what is the proper amount, when I saw that Waywatcher had already answered that...

What's been done to this Mod 13?

A have a 3" barrel model 13-3 that at first glance appears to be brushed stainless, but there was never such a model 13, I believe. So what has been done to this beauty? The finish is absolutely uniform, even under the side cover plate. The piece is very nice and tight, perfect timing, little...
