Mother‘s mag wheel polish some Q-tips and a Dremel with a very small tip.
A Dremel with a felt tip on medium speed and I can’t emphasize this enough take it slow and don’t go too far into the chamber after you’ve done the chambers use some Q-tips and swirl them around to clean the excess out...
Don’t discount the Kimber K6S it’s all stainless steel six shot 357 Magnum. I know Kimber had issues and always did with their semi auto’s but I own one of these revolvers and it’s beautifully made beautiful trigger. It reminds me of one of the older colt Python’s..
What you want is a pre 1996 640-1 no MIM parts. There were some transition guns made where they did a mix of both in early 1996. You can usually tell by the forged trigger and the older style cylinder latch.
I had the bright idea of getting a Ruger LCR in 9mm….it wasn’t one of my better ideas. No matter what grip I put on unless it was a giant one which defeated the purpose of a nice small pocket size gun. Sold it after 3 range visits.

I don’t think they ever made a 638 without the Hillary hole. I wanted the 438 because of the black finish I find it holds up better than the silver finish on all their other J frames.
