My EAF32xx also has been flawless. I agree on the trigger pull, and I just did the laser button mod. I would buy it again, and in fact the wife is thinking of getting herself one. Nice, light, purse/pocket personal protection gun.

Found this thread after I did a google search for problems with the buttons on my BG380. I read it all and ended up doing the ink pen mod. The laser now works flawlessly. Thanks for posting this. Saved me a call to S&W, and ending up wasting my time. Serial #EAF32xx, bought on December 24th of 2010.
