    Why I carry a revolver...

I carry a revolver for one reason, it's a simple design. I don't have to think about anything but draw and fire. steve

    K & L frame holsters

Hello, Do S&W K and L frame revolvers fit the same holsters? I'm seeing other mfrs holsters for sale that say "Large frame" or "Medium frame" and I'm not sure which my 686 L frame pistol is considered. thanks, spm

    S&W 686 or Ruger GP100?

I have owned both. I ended up giving the Ruger to my son when I purchased the 686. I like the lines on the Smith, better and I like being able to adjust the trigger myself. On the other hand, the Ruger is built like a tank, not that the Smith is weak, it's just that the GP100 was always a...

What's Your IDEAL Woods Bumming Pistol??

Not any really dangerous critters in the woods around here, so Ruger Single Six with .22WMR. When I go down into the Ozarks where we have both bears and hogs, and now the occasional mountain lion, I carry a 6" S&W 686 .357. spm

    .357 Magnum Questions...

Road Rat, Thanks for the link. I just looked up my S&W M19. The website calls it a KT frame. I've only heard it called a K frame. What is the difference between a K frame and a KT frame? Anybody? Thanks, spm

    Cleaning --Oil in bore??

And Brylcreem used it before them in the 1950s. Wow! That was a trip in the way-back machine. And yes, I run a small patch with one or two drops of oil down the bore and also each cylinder for a revolver. spm
