    Prefix I just purchased one from Georgia Gun Store last week, at a great price I might add $399 :) . Prefix is HVT, I like it " High Value Target" LoL.

    WHY DID YOU BUY A M&P COMPACT 9MM OVER OTHERS?

    I have a Glock 22,23 and my wife has a Shield. I've tried the M & P 9 but my carry pistol is a Walther PPQM2, best out of the box striker fired trigger I've tried and the ergos are excellent. YMMV

    So it's not just me Timely post! I just received my wife's anniversary present 9mm Shield and noticed the same thing, I was like *** why can't I lock the slide back. Well the upcoming range trip will include some serious shooting to loosen that puppy up.
