I Am So Sick Of Hearing the Term.....

No I did not. He is 10 years later than I was. I was on the commissioning crew in June of 1966, did the sea trials, 3 patrols on the Carver and got out of the Navy in 1968. I’m a first year minted Boomer. 😎

    About IGGY!

I too am sorry to hear this, it was inevitable but still leaves the forum a little more empty. May he RIP. I hope his family some peace.

    Sporting Clays Anyone ?

Sporting clays is a lot of fun. I have shot a ranges in 5 states, they’re all different and challenging. Trap and skeet are the same every time you call “pull”. Trap and skeet are quite a bit cheaper to shoot than sporting clays, which like everything else, is getting a little pricey. All the...

What Has Happened to the Smith and Wesson Forum?

I agree with this. The more I use it the better I like it. Almost can’t remember the old one. Inserting images is very easy, even I can do it.

    Model 19/Original Box

$58.40 each sounds so good today, I’ll take 3. 😎 But wait $58.00 in 1956 is almost $1200 today. They were expensive back then.

    Lyman 51st Edition…worth it?

Yes they are. 😁 I do have newer ones I actually use to reload with. I use some of the older powders so an older manual comes in handy once in a while. The “Pet Loads” by Ken Waters is a favorite for a lot of old semi-obsolete rifle rounds. like my .30-40 Krag.

This tip will work with all semi-auto magazines. Always a good place to start. 👍

    Lyman 51st Edition…worth it?

Why not update? Always some good information in them. I have a lot of older manuals, both my fathers and my own. I enjoy reading them, if nothing else except the history in them, but I would not trust some of the older ones. Especially P.O. Ackley’s.

    Pachmayr pistol range box

That’s a great buy! They can go for $200 or more in that kind of condition on eBay or to some bullseye shooter. The one I have been using for years is a Gun-Ho, an inexpensive version of yours. It is heavy when fully loaded.
