I am looking at a 686+ and was looking down the cylinder and saw what looked like there was a ring near the end and I was wondering if this was part of the cylinder or just very dirty. Thanks Steve

I was cleaning my wifes 686+ and I removed the cyl to clean it and after I cleaned and oiled and re assembled the gun I found that the cyl was hard to close. After I got it closed it would not open unless I rapped it with my free hand. The gun is about 2 years old and has always shot mid to low...
