Yes, Working through the NRA pistol courses: First was Defensive Pistol, next was Basic CCW. This fall I'll do Personal Protection Inside the Home, and then Personal Protecion Outside the Home. If I were ever to travel to one of the big-name academies, I would first look into Thunder Ranch.

I'm still around...I haven't checked this post in a while, and other hobbies (hot rods, even more expensive than guns) have taken up most of my spare time. Still active in shooting, but not the 625-5. I never did find another barrel, although I still see the 625 Classic for sale now and then...

I like my 625-5 and wouldn't part with it. The serial number should start with the prefix SDS, meaning it was a Stocking Dealer Special. 1500 units were made. The barrel on my 625 split just ahead of the barrel threads, and those barrels are not available any more. See this post...

For small batches or to test out a new load, I use a RCBS JR single stage press that I started relaoding with, bought in the late '70's...For bulk reloading I use the original Hornady progressive, the Pro-7 (later called the Pro-jector) bought in '86.

I am looking for a barrel for a Model 625 Classic. S.S. barrel in .45 Colt, 5" long with interchangeable front sight. The original barrel cracked as shown.
