Great news. Ran 40 rounds through, tried to create worst conditions - i.e. inserted full mag with slide forward, just lightly put in mag until it clicked and still we had zero self-ejections. SAW repair by replacing mag release fixed issue.
SAW returned my M&P .45 2.0 today with a repair invoice showing they replaced the magazine catch. No charge. They range tested. Daughter and I will range test on Friday night and post results.
Any person, mechanically inclined or not should be able to buy a new handgun and not have it spit out mags like cherry pits. I am a former USAF AGE mechanic, I looked into my brand new S&W M&P .45 2.0 and saw NOTHING out of place. Further analysis makes me suspect the machining on the mag...
S&W has had my .45 MP 2.0 for just a week, no response. I also found it stupid to not have the mags returned with the pistol if there appears to be a mag problem. If they tell me nothing is wrong then I'll flood X Twitter with videos showing the mag ejections. As a former Aerospace Ground...
Contacted S&W and they sent a return label. Now they will decide if it is a warranty item or not. Wondering how a design defect/flaw could not fall under warranty but I'll wait for their official decision. Will be posting vids of mag ejecting itself on X.
I thought my daughter was somehow depressing the mag release button but then it happened to me also. After 2 to 5 rounds the mag ejects out. Running Ammo Inc. FMJ 230 gr. New gun, maybe 300 rounds through. Any suggestions?
