My 617 is a better shooter than I am and it will outshoot a Browning Buckmark. You have a tough decision to make or get them both. Buy them you'll like them. Stinger

    Stones?

I think I will get some good information. I have some older sharpening stones and I would like to clean them. THEY WILL NOT BE USED ON GUNS. They will be used for knives, chisels and carving tools. Can they be soaked in gasoline or kerosene? These car carborundum stones. Thanks for the help.

Need help - inherited model 38 info Michigan SPD?

Troopers carried the Mod. 38 in a front pocket. Holster was sewn into the pocket. They were taught to have their hand on the gun when they made a traffic stop. They used the guns for qualifications. My best friend was in the MSP and I got the info from him. This was back in the early 70's...

I have two Browning O/U's. The first is a Citori 12ga. I purchased about 14 years ago and I really like it. Screw in chokes and nice wood. About 6 years ago I was gifted a 12 ga. Superposed from the 50's and it has a set of tubes so I can shoot 20 ga., 28 ga. and .410. It is faster and...

    Police Issue revolver

The DPD issued revolvers were mostly nickel plated. They issued S&W Model 10, 5" barrel and Colt Official Police, 5" barrel nickel plated. At time some confiscated guns were stamped and issued. Detectives could have a S&W or Colt snub nose as issued guns. They would be 6 shot revolvers.

Find someone in a harness or tack shop. The stitching could probably be repaired with hand stitching.

    Range?

What is the price range these days for Mod. 19 with a 4" barrel, nickel? I might have the option on one, friend is bringing it over for a look. There aren't many details, pre-'73, no box, no original grips and was carried by an LEO. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Soon to be new gun owner. Best for home defense?

Thank you for your service. Some folks recommend #2 shot and 0 Buck alternating. Only a deaf person would ignore the sound of a pump shotgun loading one into the chamber.
