I had the exact same problem!!! Posted on Oct. 7th hard time disassemble shield 9 and I can't put my rail back on Here is my previous post. I guess this isn't a rare case. I sent my shield for service (S&W provided the shipping label) 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting for my pistol to arrive.

check out Amazon. I picked one for my glock 19 and it works perfect and the price was not that expensive. $20-30 range.

I would go with an illuminated 1-4x24 or 1-6x24. You will have an x1 power (none of the scopes, sights are true x1 power anyway)
