    Have Never Seen This Before...?

Thanks so much! The fired case was 3.600": guess I should have thought about a bit of expansion at the neck and also looked at .358"...? Although I had never heard of this caliber previously, my research came up with an article in Gun Digest by the creator, Bryce Towsley, dated March 2, 2018...

    Have Never Seen This Before...?

Am reloading some 300 Remington Ultra Mag for a friend. His once-fired brass presents no problems. Was looking through the collection of various and sundry brass samples I've accumulated over the years and found a brass case headstamped as " R•P 300 REM ULTRA MAG " . In good shape. Only...

    No Expanding Die for .223?

LEE also has a Universal Expanding die that can do the same slight belling of the case... Cheers! P.S. That 4th spot is for a crimp die.

.450 SMC - 10mm power out of a .45 ACP pistol with no modifications necessary?!

Hodgdons has 45 Super load data... I've used some START loads in 45 Super brass with quite a few different projectiles in my Ruger American without any problems. Cheers! P.S. In Starline 45 acp, 45 acp+P & 45 Super brass there is an increasing degree of construction besides different...

    Remington Rolling Block

I have shot the PPU's 139gr ammo: Hodgdons shows a IMR4895 START load for a 140gr at under 2500 fps. Cheers!

Favorite 38 spl self defense load

What's your current CFE Pistol recommendation for that projectile, please...? Cheers!

Favorite 38 spl self defense load

Must be a load of bears (and/or two-legged predators?) in The Pine Tree State to shoot up cases of LSWC-HPs being shot 5 at a time...? Cheers! P.S. Any idea how hard these projectiles are?

Favorite 38 spl self defense load

As far as a projectile goes I have the Federal HST Micro135gr +P JHP-WC which I can load in both 38 Special (for the Model 442) & 357 Magnum brass (for the Model 19 2 1/2" or the Model 66 4")... At 850-900 fps these are very soft shooting and accurate ammunition, IMHO. CHEERS! P.S. The Lehigh...

    Viridian Optic Rebate Cheated

Glad to hear it was rectified (finally?)... Once you got with the correct entity (the shipper or consignor in cargo claims terminology) they were able to help. Your frustration, naturally, is understandable: S&W obviously dropped the ball, customer service-wise. Cheers! P.S. I just love...

    M&P357c

Well, since I absolutely "had to" (?) I grabbed a GLOCK (WHAT!) G29SF in 10mm to compliment my M&P 40C (with a 357 SIG barrel from KKM) just in case I was attacked by multiple ursine predators (yes, we actually do have black bears strolling the cul-de-sac upon occasion)... The 357 SIG should...

    45 Auto Rim

I would think it unlikely that a bullet that size would move much with an estimated velocity around 800fps (& 16K CUP or so?) with just a taper crimp...? I have not experienced bullets moving in my Model of 1955 with significantly higher velocities and pressures. Your 5.0gr load of WIN 231...

    Finally Bought a New GLOCK

Not my 1st GLOCK (have a Gen 2 G17 & a Gen 4 G19 + some Gen 3 clones), but... Since I reload... Just couldn't pass up a NEW Gen 3 Model G29 SF! Only has a 10+1 capacity, but in 10mm that ought to be sufficient unless attacked by multiple ursine predators (and we actually do have black bears...

    Diamondback SDR in 9mm

Well, the Charter Arms 9mm version (Model 79920) is under $500, and is supposedly rated for +P... Built on the same frame as their 40 S&W. Since I reload that would be my choice (40 vs. 9mm), but... Since I already have a Bulldog Model 74410 in 44 Special (which has a shrouded hammer ala S&W...
