Ok, I have been wondering about this for a while now. Using HS-6, with 158 grain swc. At what point should a mag primer either be used or not used? I am not looking for a nuclear bomb here, just a safe and accurate load. Thanks!!
Bushmaster was making an AR-15 with a 20" skinny barrel rifle. I don't know if they still do or not. It had an A1 upper & an A2 lower, with a full size fixed stock. FWIW. I have a SPORTER & love it. It just fits right & shoots great! I believe you should get what you want to begin with. Cheaper...
My new SPORTER was really tight also, but not as tight as yours apparently. After shooting the rifle it was just fine. It sounds as though the store owner is doing right by you. If you really want an original bolt, just buy the new bolt from the shop & send the problem Bolt back to the factory...
We probably got ours at the same place. Just seemed like too good of a deal to pass up. I think that I may just leave mine stock. Although, I have been considering getting a "Daniels Defense" back up rear metal sight.
A really nice Case Knife would be good. I am fond of the larger folders with the two blades and wood handles in a leather case. A good Swiss Army knife is always very useful as well. Good Luck!
In the original post, "Sporter" was in reference to a Smith & Wesson rifle, which is a semi - auto AR style weapon. It has a collasible stock and a 16" barrel. It does not have a forward assist or a dust cover. From what I have seen the price is lower than a lot of other rifles.
