    grouping all over

The grouping size is the ES including all 10-shots. Armscor had a flyer at 100 yards. Here are the pictures. Is Armscor ammo good?

    grouping all over

A few months ago I took my M&P 15-22 to range and shot 4 brands of ammo to compare their grouping. Here are the results of 10 shot groupings: At 25 yards, CCI SV 1.0", Aguila SE 0.6", Federal AM 1.4", Armscor 1.0". At 100 yards, CCI SV 3.1", Aguila SE 4.3", Federal AM 5.1", Armscor 10.5".

    Mexican Aguila (Nightmare) 22 LR

Took the 38gr Aguila Super Extra HP out of the 500-round bag/box to the range, and shot it with my revolver. Yes, the cartridge casing feels kind of sticky. Out of 50 rounds, I got 3 rounds that needed a second strike.

    Support Hand Thumb Slips

I place my support hand thumb on the dent in front of the takedown catch when shooting the SD9 VE. However, after the shot fires, more often than not my thumb slips off and rests on the trigger guard, so I need to move my thumb back to its original location for next shot. This affects the speed...

    SD9VE Accuracy

Yeah, it would be great if someone has tested the inherent accuracy of the SD9VE. I remember reading it somewhere that a decent pistol on a ransom rest will group about 2" at 25 yards with good ammo. Not sure if SD9VE can reach this accuracy or not. Another variable is ammo. A few years ago...

    SD9VE Accuracy

Went to the range and tried again today. This time I used the Sellier & Bellot 124gr FMJ. Pistol was supported the same way as previous time, with a sandbag under the tactical flash light which was attached under the barrel. My shooting position was different this time: I sat on a rifle bench...

    SD9VE Accuracy

Brian, To pass the Kyle Defoor's Hat Qual one practically (not absolutely) needs to land 9 of 10 shots in a 6" group centered at the bullseye, off-hand shooting. To get a baseline, I tried 5 shots on benchtop with my pistol resting on a sandbag. Since my group was 7" already, there is no way I...

    Mexican Aguila (Nightmare) 22 LR

I bought a few boxes of 500-round Aguila 22LR Super Extra from Bass Pro and Sportsman's Warehouse. Yes, they are packed in a sealed plastic bag inside the paper box. I have not shot the 40gr RP, but have shot the 38gr HP with both M&P 15-22 and Charter Arms Pathfinder. Based on the limited...

    SD9VE Accuracy

Tried to get a good group at 25 yards with off-hand slow firing. 10-shot group size is typically 9", with various brands of ammo. Everything on my SD9VE is factory set (sights, trigger, et al.) To see how much of the grouping spread is due to my grip, I shot 5 rounds off sandbag support, with...

Does M&P 15-22 use a push feed or controlled feed

To avoid dry firing damage, I'd like to put a spent case in the chamber before pulling the trigger. However, if the carbine uses a controlled feed, this may eventually damage the extractor.

    M&P 15-22 lessons learned

Thank you for letting people know. How big is your flag? Will the pink/red flag coming with the gun cause this kind of damage? I slam closed the bolt with a zip tie flag a few times at the range, and fortunately there is no damage so far.

    Is Armscor ammo good?

Finally grabbed a few boxes of Armscor, CCI, and Federal from Sportsman's Warehouse, a box of Aguila from Bass Pro, and went to the range last Saturday. Shot 10 rounds of each at 25 and 100 yards. The 10-round groupings at 25 / 100 yards are: Federal 1.4/5.9", Aguila 0.63/4.3", CCI 1.0/3.2"...

    Is Armscor ammo good?

Sportsman's Warehouse is running a sale of the Armscor22LR 40gr SVSP ammo. Is this ammo any good for M&P 15-22? I did some online search, and many of the comments are negative. But most of them ran the ammo on other wapons, not M&P 15-22. Armscor 22 Long Rifle 40gr SVSP Rimfire - 50 Rounds |...
