Currently shoot PPC and use a Safariland 002 Cup Challenge holster(borrowed one to boot). I was going to just get a new 002 holster but have been looking more at these open style CR speed holsters for my revolver. Anyone using them and any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for one of these holsters preferably in black basket weave but will take a plain tactical black one as well. Need it for my L Frame Smith. Also could use a speed loader tray for L frame as well. I am from Canada but have a U.S shipping addy if that helps:D

Had seen another 686 recently on a Canadian forum that was being sold with a cracked frame-wished I had looked at it closely when it was advertised.

Thanks for all the input guys. I know one auto that I had tried and really liked was a Smith 5946(DAO). It was a issue gun to my RCMP buddy-really liked that trigger but these guns in Canada are very rare in Civilian circles. Probably going end up with a Sig 226 of some sort I am thinking.

I guess I should clarify a bit more of what I am looking for here and sorry for any confusion. Duty class(not Distinguished) in PPC has to be a department issue automatic which would exclude the PPC 9's or any other custom gun or work being done to one. So we are looking at Sig's, Beretta's...

Getting ready to buy myself a duty class 9mm automatic. Looking for the most accurate one and find myself leaning toward a Sig P226 since I tend to see these the most. What is the general consensus on this-looking for some opinions.

I remember a long time ago a gunsmith that I knew told me that the original 586 or 686 with no dash was a better fit from the factory and more desirable to build a custom gun off of. Is there any truth to this or really just a myth.
