ALBUQUERQUE POLICE OFFICER FACES MURDER CHARGE IN SHOOTING HOMELESS MAN

There are really only two possible reasons. Poor training is not one of them because even someone who is not trained should still be able to use logic and common sense. Reason one is that they are simply cowards. I know LEOs have a hard job and I respect most for what they do but if it scares...

    Magpul 1911 Grips...

Love mine. Feel great to shoot with.

    Ever been stabbed or slashed?

I carry a knife sometimes solely as a tool. Not so much for defensive purposes. I am simply not trained to fight well with it and wouldn't feel to comfortable whipping it out in the middle of a fight with someone. If I had training perhaps I'd feel different. But if I don't have a firearm on me...

    Carrying A Gun At Home

I don't, but I live in a small place. 2-3 guns upstairs, 1-2 downstairs depending on where certain ones happen to be at a given time. My pistol is usually within arms reach. No kids so when I'm home none are locked up and all can be accessed quickly. My girlfriend who I live with can shoot also...

Can the 25 ACP be taken seriously?

With the hot loads available today for .22lr (Stingers, Aguila, Velociters, ect.) that can produce the same muzzle energy from a rifle as a .380 pistol, (200+ ft lbs.) I don't consider the .25acp to be very noteworthy. I'd say hands down that the .22lr would be more effective. However if...

    Dogs

Coming to this thread makes my brain hurt.... It's like you guys "fear for your safety" and look to get into gunfights with anyone or anything that doesn't look at you right.

The soul of a carry gun....

My 1911 has soul and I've definitely got a connection with it. Means more to me than my other firearms. Has good looks, nice lines, feeling of circumstance when hefted... ect. Feels amazing in the hand. Lots of history in the design as well. Definitely a very special gun to me.

    Dogs

The poster who I responding too literally said if an unleashed dog gets to close to him it's done for.... Didn't specify whether the dog needed to be acting a certain way or not. I guess call me a softy but I got a little too much heart to not hesitate and at least try another way before killing...

Austin Police Head Quarters Attacked This Morning

Been a few of these lone wolf attacks on law enforcement lately... Seems people are getting more and more angry with police actions.

You're a joke.... We're talking dogs, not bears. Going back to my original post I will say again, get it together. It's really not hard to handle dogs without killing them. Maybe educate yourself a bit on k9 behavior and possible ways to deescalate a dog encounter. Though it seems you're a...

    Dogs

I understand there are rare rare circumstances where yes, defending yourself from a dog with deadly force is necessary. If a dog attacks you defend yourself, I'm not saying dogs are entitled to bite you. But what about an unfamiliar dog that simply "gets too close" as you said? You don't know if...

    Dogs

These kinds of posts are so pathetic... Just laughable. Fedex drivers, UPS drivers, all other delivery drivers, landscapers, outdoor salesmen, realtors, I can go on and on... They all deal with unfamiliar dogs on a very very regular basis and manage to get through their days without shooting...

    Dogs

I know K9s are considered LEOs, but civilian dogs are just property. And when some weak officer, who never had the guts to be an officer in the first place "feels threatened" and kills my dog because of it's "presence", I'm supposed to just take it and move on, because since it's a civilian dog...

This little guy showed up on my doorstep,

I wonder if she knows how lucky she is to have found you! Nice to read a story like this. Wishing a speedy recovery.

Or that same presence can get your dog killed by a trigger happy coward, whether they be LEO or not, simply because they "felt threatened" by that presence. The excuse of the decade.
