I bought both years ago to have in my collection I would not want to give up either. Several years ago I had a officer stop by the stone quarry where I was shooting. After several minutes of conversation I asked him if he wanted to shoot the .500! He was thrilled and sat down at my portable...
Model 41
I own a pair of 41's and they are approx. 20 years apart. Though I have tried numerous brands of ammo in both guns CCI's work best. With all other brands I have issues. Both guns shoot excellent provided I feed them what they like. You will love your new gun and be amazed on how...
Traded 629
I recently traded my 5" 629 and now regret it. I was offered a like new 1100 competition semi auto Remington trap gun. While it is a beautiful piece I miss my 5" with custom grips from Hogue. Hang onto your guns they are hard to replace once they have left your Safe.
I bought one for my Son-in Law and as long as he only puts 9 in the clip it will shoot, if he loads 10 it won't feed. He is fine with this but I was less than happy.A new gun out of the box should be able to be loaded and fired without hang ups.We discover the clip trick after trying numerous...
Sorry about the mistake apparently my memory is failing me as it has been years since I swapped my factory grips with Hogue Kingwood. I should of remembered since I took the factory 500 grips and put the on my 4" 329
I had a 8"3/8 model 617 and foolishly traded it for a .17HMR 647. I swapped guns and kicked in $100.00. At the time I thought it was a hot trade but I do not like the 647 as much. It seems to blow back the empty cases in the cylinder and by the 4th or 5th shot it is hard to rotate. I always seem...
I personally perfer wood to rubber and have purchased a beatiful set of Hogue grips made from Kingwood with accent cap. They not only set the gun off but feel better while shooting as they fit my hands well.
When I bought my 460 I added a scope also and fired my 1st shot at 25yards. It hit several inches to the right and several inches high. I fired again without adjusting to ensure I hadn't pulled my 1st shot. To my dismay I could not see my 2nd shot on paper at all. My son started to give me grief...
