I have a model 17 that I picked up at a gun shop years ago, was rusty pitted and really nasty looking. The grips were broken, and I am pretty sure a previous owner had quite literally used it as a hammer at one time. The bore and chambers were clean though, so I had a layer of cerakote slapped...
