They're intended for snakes, not birds.

    Peace Dividend?

Military ammunition is produced at plants which ONLY produce military ammo. Some are owned by the govt, some are run by commercial makers but they all ONLY produce military ammo. The US military has billions of rounds in storage. They could use ammo at the current rate of expenditure for...

I'm thinking about a 32 cal for daughters

.32 ACP is a fun round to shoot. I have a Mauser HSc in .32 ACP. My wife really loves it. The all-steel gun makes it seem more like a .22LR. That said it isn't what I'd choose for defense, tho it is better than a dirty look. Bersa makes excellent quality-for-the-money autos in .380 ACP...

Using LE marked ammo for civilain self defense carry

If you're justified in killing someone, how you do it doesn't matter.

Any distributors with surplus smith revolvers?

My local shop has several of those Model 64s. Anybody know from where they were traded in?

    Ok: Rem 180gr SJHP in a M65-3

I was curious about teh 180gr round because that's all I was able to find in SJHPs locally. Everything is sold out. I accidentally shot off almost all my .357 defensive rounds. Though I had 2 more boxes, but I don't. I think I'll wait for some 158gr standard stuff and carry the P225 in the...

    Ok: Rem 180gr SJHP in a M65-3

I understand that K frames sometimes are considered to have problems with light, fast loads. What about the Remington 180gr SJHP? 1. Any danger of damage to the revolver? 2. Recoil tough to handle in a smaller frame? Gander had them for $44/50 (!!) but heavier is generally better...

I carry a 5" Colt Series 70 IWB rather often.

    Smart Carry holster looks good

I use a Smartcarry for deep concealment. I carry either my M65-3 in it or a Taurus M85.

    Clarification: 9mm in a .357?

Ok, with the increase of ammo prices I've gotten desperate enough to give this a shot. Given moon/ half moon clips will UMC 9mm FMJ shoot well enough in my M65-3 or does the cylinder have to be machined to accept them? I've got plenty of 9mm but .38/.357 is hard to come by here in practice loads.

Would one really lose hearing firing 357 indoors in home defense scenario?

Possible. However, you'd have to survive the encounter to worry about hearing loss. Anyone who chooses a HD weapon based on this criteria has their priorities misplaced.
