Yep, the CLP did wonders. I'm not sure I like it as my primary cleaning agent, but for a quick pre-clean, it sure beats the brass brush. I still did the final clean with Hoppe's 9 and the Hoppe's oil, but it took less time to do it after the Boresnake.

OK, so after having the M&P for 3 weeks now and a few trips to the range, I find myself torn: as in, which gun would I grab if someone broke into my home and I wanted to make sure they left in a horizontal orientation? I've always been a "grab the tactical shotgun and blast" kind of guy, but...

OK, I see how the 45 degree open sight mounts, but at that point, why not just turn it another 45 and shoot it sideways? It's a no-cost option if you've already removed your iron sights for a scope, and this gun doesn't kick enough to affect your shooting 90 degrees CCW, does it?

Took the broken Boresnake back to the gun shop, they exchanged it, bought a can of CLP, we'll try it again! Gotta love the local gun shop, those guys are awesome.

Checked out one of the local Super Wally World stores in NEPA today. No M&P 15-22s, but they had a small selection of rifles (including a hot pink 22,) and shotguns, and a surprising variety of ammo-just not a whole lot of selection in 22 ammo. Plus shotgun shells out the wazoo. Funny thing...
