I have had one for years. It, too, needed some trigger work. Converted to DAO. Shot it in steel challenge and other games. Fair warning, don't mess up the protective coating on the cylinder. No Hoppes or other strong ammoniated solvents or metal brushes. I only use Mpro7 and toothbrushes...

I have loaded HBWC with 2.8 Bullseye for many years. Still have 100s of them ready to go. Colt OMM.

Only one I ever saw was in the case at a LGS. Proprietor said "I'm selling this one for the third time". Included was a box of factory ammo with 12 gone. First owner fired 6, then traded it back. Second owner did exactly the same. I passed.

My understanding is that the etching facilitated inventory/inspection without the need to remove stocks that covered the S/N on the butt.

No model number on mine. First thought it was a no-dash until looking up the serial number. It's a -5.

Interesting that some have model number and others don't.

I'm in the same boat. My large cache of R-P .45 brass is starting to give up. Starting to find cracked cases and missing primers. just cleaned and sized it all. When my dwindling LPP supply is gone, it all goes to recycling and will be replaced with SPP.

Extremely light loads are best made with lead. A friend switched to plated using his favorite Trail Boss load and stuck a plated bullet in his Model 15. Wisely, he stopped at one.

Same thing happened to me on a Model 60. Locked up tighter than a tick. Upon disassembly, I discovered the bolt broken.
