Put my 432UC on a diet and bolted on some beemz

I haven't even fired it yet, but just put my new 432UC on a diet. Weighed in at 17.32 oz stock. With a pair of Crimson Trace 105 grips, it is down to under 15, a savings of over 2.5 oz. I didn't do it just for the weight, though. I don't care for how the gun points with the stock VZ grips...

Two first year Colt New Service revolvers

The recent threads with early, low-serial number Triple Locks made me think of the TL's big competitor: Colt New Service I have 2 first year NS in my collection (1899). Neither in great condition visually, but both excellent mechanically and with great bores. The earlier is SN 407, sports a...

    Another Early Triple Lock

Man, you guys and your super low SN TLs! Awesome gun. Don't make me show my sub-500 Colt New Service competitor! rob

    32 HE Long/ 32 Mag question

@45NUTT Just noticed your .32 HE serial is just a couple hundred higher than the one I got yesterday! Mine is 538763. Rob

    A blemished 32 HE arrives

Bought this at an auction (not GB) and received it today. Paid about $220 after fees and shipping. It would be in very nice shape, if it wasn't covered in mottled blemishes! Seems to be little used, with a bit of holster wear. 3 1/4" barrel. Bore and chambers are great. Stocks are also...

    432UC / 632UC 6 round .32 Speedloader

I, too, got some HKS 32Js and seem to work with dummies in my office. Haven't fired it yet. I do prefer the Safariland style, but they are making very few models these days and none in .32. Edit: Sorry...I thought this thread was only a week or two old, not a YEAR old. Rob

    Washing machine accident

I'm surprised no one mentioned the shrinkage problem with running the ammo through the dryer. .40 to 9. 44 to 41. rob

I let one get away yesterday…

Yeah, I've done that. Passed a deal on to a friend who had a good "fit" for it when I would have been happy to have it myself. Rob

    Crusty diamond magnas...what vintage?

I didn't mean I could make them perfect or anything! Just...cleaner. And maybe not so dry. They'll never be showroom fresh again, sadly. But then, neither are the guns I tend to buy! rob

Thanks! Wasn't sure what, if any, prefix to assume. rob

    Crusty diamond magnas...what vintage?

At the gun show this past weekend, I picked up these crusty K-frame diamond magna stocks. I think they'll clean up reasonably. What time frame are these from? Serial number stamped inside is 225027. I paid $6. Thanks. Rob

Picked up an Aussie Lend-Lease M&P today

Gave the new revolver a once-over in the gun room and a light cleaning of the bore and chambers (that's all it needed). Both are nice and smooth and shiny! It is still in .38 S&W. The barrel, cylinder and ejector SNs all match. I was surprised to find the grips are numbered (they seem...

    Training with the 432 UC

Since I just picked up my 432UC (non-Ti), I thought I'd share a comparison with my Taurus 327. The 432UC weighs 17.28 ounces unloaded on my scale. The stainless Taurus weighs 22.86 ounces. Over 5.5 ounces difference. The Taurus's extra weight is very noticeable in the hand. Both look...
