I took my first deer ever with the BFR, 50 yards and she went about 10. I used a 240 gr. XTP over 23 gr. of H110.

Sadly, Leupold has dropped out of the handgun scope business.

For a large bore hunting handgun I prefer the tube type sights, I have a 44 coming and it will wear an Ultradot 30mm with a 2 mil dot. I prefer a knob to turn them on instead of pushing buttons which don't work well with gloves on.

I've made my decision. I would really like a 629 Stealth Hunter but the price is just to high. Therefore, I have decided to go with a BFR in .44 Magnum with a 7-1/2" barrel. This will be a hunting revolver so the extra weight should not be an issue and will help with recoil of heavy loads...

I haven't been to Memphis in quite a few years. Can't think of anything I need to make worth the 5-1/2 hour drive each way.

Re-read it, he does say Maxi-Mag.

I find it interesting that people say investment castings crack and don't stretch. Thompson/Center Contenders frames are investment castings. I have seen several stretched but never have I seen one that cracked.
