I shot .357s out of my 2” 640 yesterday for the first time. 158 Gr Federal. With Pachmayr Compac grips, the recoil was not pleasant but surprisingly manageable. The spitting of lead on my left hand and face was not manageable. It never does that with .38s.
Our recycle pickup is every other week, so when I roll out the bin and no one else has, I check the waste collection app and if I have the date right I just shrug and move on.
How does the LVP hold up to dining room chair legs and dragging furniture across it? That seems to be our main challenge. We have wood-tone porcelain and it’s been good except fot the above.
Oh, and dog messes.
I was at Guitar Center recently and a Tele grabbed me and pulled me to it, like a moth to a flame. Deep maroon color, perfect paint job. $1200 price tag, though. That would buy a lot of ammo.
I was just thinking about having TK Custom convert my 640 cylinder. Maybe I’ll wait and see if this new one is good.
OTOH, TK says you can still shoot .38 and .357 in their 9mm cylinders, standard pressure only.
$350 to convert, or $870 for a dedicated 9mm.
