UPDATE: I used the roll pin from the A2. Its not as long but it fit better into the tube. Its not Loose or anything so I dont think I need to worry about the tube slipping out of place. It covers one side. If this was a big mistake that can result in my gun blowing up or something I would love...

That is what I thought. I was hitting them that way for a while but when i got the block i just figured i was hitting it the wrong way. Thank you so much. If this does not work i'm drilling the pins out

I am having a hard time removing A2 front sight/gas block from my rifle. I even ordered a special punch and block from brownells but still cant seem to get the taper pins out. Any tips? :confused:

I have a M&P 15 that has been a project gun for me. I am looking at getting a new stripped upper for it with a forward assist and dust cover. Should most stripped uppers fit together nicely with the lower? If not what's the best way to see if it will? I would preferably like to get a SAA...

I would go with a gas block that has a rail, and then magpul mbus folding sights. I'm actually in the process of removing my front sight so I can put a gas block on. I am just waiting for my taper pin punch and a sight removal block from Brownells. They are kind of a must if you want to start...
