I have a Magpul MOE grip on mine - and I did replicate the second hole. If I remember it is 0.300" center to center (or edge to edge) of the selector spring hole and slightly outboard. I don't remember what size drill bit I used - use your grip to measure which drill bit fits best.

I drove the right side roll pin out from the rear to the front. The bolt catch linkage is very simple - there should be no issues there. Once you have switched out the trigger group - install the bolt catch roll pin from the rear to the front (after installing the bolt catch parts).

I did it without a reciever block. It was easier than I thought it was going to be. It punches out from the rear to the front and then installs from the rear to the front. The linkage for the bolt catch is very simple - no issues there either. All in all the whole process went pretty smooth...
No joy on a drop in fit with the Raptor. Sure - the Raptor does drop right into the upper of the S&W - and cycles smoothly. However the problem begins when you try this with the bolt/bolt carrier installed. Binds up big time.

You and I are in the same boat. I asked this same question on AR15.com in the S&W subforum there - and no one has responded with any knowlegde about the Raptor. I guy did post that he is currently using a "Gen 2" BCM charging handle on his M&P10 - but he also knows of problems...
