Going to S&W for a tour

Well, I have to say that the trip to Smith and Wesson exceeded all of my expectations. Smith and Wesson knew we were scheduled for the tour and had the welome sign at the entrance greet us with a message. I was told about the new entrace gate security device and I have to say that too was...

Being laughed at shooting a .22 at the range?????

.22lr's are the purest defenition of fun on the planet. I love to shoot them, and so do my kids. We went to the range on Memorial Day and had a great time. We were shooting long before and after many many folks. I also took with me one 357 Mag., and one 44 Mag. for added fun factor, but...

Going to S&W for a tour

We don't leave until the end of the month, but the tickets are paid for...we have a pistol shoot scheduled for Saturday to get ready. My youngest daughter is not happy she doesn't get to go. She enjoys shooting more than the entire Crew put together. Her trip will come.

Going to S&W for a tour

Boy Scouts stop at 18 years of age and is limited to boys, Venturing goes to 21 years of age and can be co-ed. Anyway, our Crew has geared nearly all there activities around...

Felt recoil in these S&W wood grips?

Personally, I would get Pachmayrs rubber grips and keep the wood for display and presentation. Especially if you are going to use it as a backup revolver. Wood would leave a lot to desire with the recoil, slipperyness and overall application in a defensive situation where your palms could be...

    .500 S&W Magnum, 1st Outing

I find the 500 S&W has recoil like a rifle. Meaning the gun kicks straight back hard then there is a little rise. After 20 rounds of 440g cast bullets, I can feel the punishment in the right hand from the slamming. I tell people this is a one shot at a charging bear gun...meaning the recoil...

    Big Howdy from Texas

Ladies and Gents, I registered for this site as I was researching the four position adjustable front sight I have on my 8 3/8" 686 357 Mag. I found the information and S&W community to be quite friendly and I decided to join in. My current collection isn't as big as I'd like, I'll keep...
