hey do any of you know if the new 586 have that stupid sleeve barrel?

yeah i don't plan on carrying it at all, it will a range gun and my babied gun :D . its the gun i will take excellent care of and hope to pass it down from generations i love bluing and wood

thing is i kind of like cleaning my gun but it don't want to jack up the nice bluing for example like the carbon build up on the front of the cylinder if i brush it to hard will it take some of the bluing off? i haven't owned any blued revolver but i have shot one and i loved the way it looked...

I'm trying to decide between a 586 and 686 and i love to 586 more than the 686 on looks but i feel like the bluing on the 586 will be a hassle to keep clean and i will have worry about nicking it or brushing off the bluing went i clean it? i don't want to have to worry about most of these.:o

how do you reply with other peoples response above yours ?

then ill probably end up getting a nice .22 if that is a good foundation to start on but which one between revolvers and rifle. i see the model 17 being a contender and a 10/22

i want kind of a do it all gun but i love revolvers and will try to stick with it, but if i have to get a semi auto pistol to meet the do it all, then so be it

i really do intend on holding to my first gun until i die to pass it on to my kids if i have some. i would get the ruger but i feel like ill not have as much fun with it as i would the 586. but then ammo prices accessories all that factors into it against the 586. thanks
