    Unmarked CS-1 / Product Code 104228

Thanks for the replies. The front sight is 1/10". I remember when the CS-1s were in Shotgun News back in the mid-90s. I had just pulled the trigger on a USPS Inspector Ruger Speed Six or I would have grabbed one of these when they were cheap. Seems the distributor offered three grades, with...

    Unmarked CS-1 / Product Code 104228

Hello all, I have a unmarked, 3" product code 104228, serial prefix AZB that lacks the CS-1 marking. Everything on the gun follows suit with the exception of the white outline rear sight. I assume any non-Customs Service sales would lack the CS-1 markings, correct? Without the CS-1 marking...

My 5906 TSW from AIM has arrived

Just picked up mine as well. Definitely falls into the lower end of the "great condition" description. Right side of the grip is pretty well chewed, front tritium vial is AWOL and the rear sigh t looks like someone tried drifting it with a hammer and no punch (or loosening the allen screw)...

RB combat grip k-frame - proper frame fit?

Hi all , Just purchased an unfired 66-3 2.5" from the local gander Mtn, and have a question about the proper fit of combat grips from the factory. The ones installed on this piece have a certifiably lousy fit at the top rear, sitting approx 1/8" proud of the frame. I can only imagine how it...

    Shield takedown retaining wire question

During my usual new gun takedown and cleaning, I noticed the end of the takedown lever retaining wire on my shield 9mm was buggered and sticking out a mm or so from the frame, enough that the slide rubbed it bright. This being my first M&P I don't know what the retaining wire is supposed to look...

    Proud new 4506 owner here!

Heekma, That looks to be the 4506-3 that popped up on Gunbroker the DAY that I paid $75 more for my 4506-3 :) . Mine was a lightly used Ogle Co Il Sheriff's Dept trade in with the same TDN prefix as the 4506 posted by rsbh44. I haven't been able to shoot mine yet, so I look forward to hearing...

Barrel movement when slide fully forward?

FWIW - I recently purchased an NOS 1990 produced 4006, unfired in its original box. Zero wear on this piece inside or out. The barrel hood will depress a similar amount when in battery. My well-used 5906 and low round count 3913 exhibit no movement in this area.

    CDNN 5906

Not all are like new. Mine was received three days ago and showed signs of taking a nose dive in gravel. The previous owner also worked it over with fine grit paper and polish.. But far from even in the shine. Glad some have gotten gems but it is definitely luck of the draw.

    The Beat-Up Chiefs Special Thread...

Not the right era for this board, but I hope you'll put up with a well worn 642-1.

    Lettered CS-1

Curious if any CS-1 owners have bothered to request a Jinks letter for their guns; if so, did it tell you anything interesting, or just that it was shipped to a specific distributor? Reason I ask is that I have a 3" frosted 686-1 on layaway with all the usual cs-1 indicators, minus the "cs-1"...
