Actually, they did rule out "rational basis" in the Heller opinion, which helped with a subsequent 7th Circuit decision. We still don't know whether strict or "intermediate" scrutiny is appropriate, however. Some folks are still holding out for a new reading of Privileges or Immunities...

Actually, most consumers don't even know about those problems. The current generation of shooters came of age long after the K-Frames had been replaced by the L-Frames. The lack of popularity for the 315 appears to have been based on the fact that a) it holds 6 rounds while the 386 holds 7...

It has been discontinued. Unfortunately, they were the lowest seller in the Night Guard line. It's a shame, as I'd like to see S&W keep the K-Frames alive.
