    1905 4th change 32-20 hand ejector

I attach these images for your information for what they're worth: from a 1905 4th I took possession of Friday. Serial 88,252 which I believe dates it shipped in 1919 and with a heat treated cylinder? I'd place it above 90% condition. I don't think the side plate had ever been off it. Serial...

    GT bullets.

Cast bullet manufacturer located here in Augusta, GA. Makes lots of hard cast hollow points. Good folks. I use them for hunting. In fact, killed my first handgun deer with a GT HP (.38/44), and dumped one yesterday with another in 30 WCF. Gas check helpful when loading relatively hot. Helps...

    639

I would be the guilty party. When I first picked up the 439, I contemplated using it as my CCW. The ears initially drove me nuts--I thought they hampered peripheral sight picture. They almost made me feel claustrophobic. Since replacement ears were readily available, and since I was already...

    639

Apparently. Gavel price at auction was just over $300. The 639 is a lot of gun for that $$.

    Bought a 94 Win in 357

Both H4227, H110/W296 behind 158g swc have worked well (speed/accuracy) out of my handi rifle .357.

    639

Gents: Know we all like pics to get the week off on the right foot. Just snagged at auction a fine 639. Serial A770823 plus the short extractor make it a very young 639--BOD/Ship date summer of 1982? She joined her younger sibling for a quick pic and range trip yesterday.

    Hog hunting question

I live in Georgia and unfortunately I've got hogs. Killed 'em with arrows, bullets, buckshot, and once a turkey load. You might think of packing three or so weapons to camp--their use depending on conditions. If I were stalking in woods or swamps, a pump shotgun, no plug, with 2 3/4" #4 buck...

    1976 Vintage Ithaca 37 Deerslayer

Push comes to shove and money is not a huge issue, call Les at Diamond Gunsmithing or Ron Sharp at Sharps Guns in Ontario. Les worked at the old Ithaca factory and is still in Ithaca, perhaps Ron did as well. In any event, they're familiar with the problem and can probably get it done.

Misconceptions about .38 J Frames for women

Years ago bought my wife a Sig 232 because of its simplicity and reliability. She could barely use it, even after training. Moved to a Model 36 with 3" heavy BBL. Added Wolfe springs, touched up the rebound slide, replaced stocks. Much mo betta. Now it's her daily carry... and I pack the Sig.

    US Post Office Carry options

Visited our local PO a few months ago. Ahead of me in line was an older man, civilian, open carrying a pistol. Nobody said a thing. He did his business, exited the building and drove away. This was in Georgia, conceal carry only, so he had broken two laws. Unreal.

    Alternatives to tumble cleaning brass

    Ultrasonic. Super fast, super clean.

Anyone else using 800X in handgun loads?

I've used it in "heavy" .38 spl, also in .357 Magnum loads. I did not throw those charges, so its notorious metering flaws were not part of the equation. Shot well, great velocities, and burned relatively clean.

    Revolver Forcing Cone

If the fc is considerably leaded, you might also encounter unusual high pressure signs. I recently was having a fit loading strong .38 Spl loads in my .38/44 Outdoorsman. Marginal loads were showing some evidence of high pressure. After failed attempts to solve the problem, I properly...
