    MY NEW 586 NO DASH

Thank you for the information on the build date and especially the article about the recall. I did not know the exact details or reason for the recall. Good information to have. I also picked my 586 up for $550 about 5 years ago from a local gun shop and mine had Pachmayr grips when...

The ultimate Model 19/66 Combat Magnum thread

I bought this 66-1 round butt from my uncle two years ago that came from an estate of a friend he knew. Pretty sure it had never been fired since the factory. Unfortunately I only received the revolver itself, no box or tools. I have since shot it a bit and really enjoy it. Even did the local...

What N frame ejector rods are interchangeable with a Pre 29?

I agree with you, it is in decent shape, I have already tried to straighten it once, and I will attempt to get the last of the bend out of it. It does make the cylinder hang up when I try to swing it out of the frame in a couple spots. I really would prefer to have an original myself.

What N frame ejector rods are interchangeable with a Pre 29?

Thank you smith17, but we now have an interesting turn of events, my extractor rod is a LH thread! It measures 2.869" I guess that makes it easier to find a replacement, but I am really thinking that I made a serious mistake buying this revolver.

Duplicating .44 Special loads on a .44 Mag Case

I just did a load up of .44 Special velocity loads in .44 Magnum cases using HP-38 and the old 429421 Keith 250 gr bullet that I cast with my Arsenal mold. R-P cases, Fed 150 Primer, Wheel weights for my lead and I water drop, Lyman Super Moly lube, size my slugs at .431" and 1.720" COL with a...

What N frame ejector rods are interchangeable with a Pre 29?

Thank you for the welcome here, I appreciate that. I have been keeping an eye on the classifieds here and will continue to do so, and I have checked Numrich, but will go back and look again now with the knowledge you gave me. Thank you again for the help. I also see plenty of previous...

What N frame ejector rods are interchangeable with a Pre 29?

I recently picked up a shooter grade Pre 29 .44 Magnum and unfortunately discovered that the ejector rod is bent. Mine of course is the RH thread. While I have managed to straighten it out some, it still is not right. I did find the new manufacture one offered by Jack First, however I would...

    Another new guy

Thank you. And thanks for letting me know that the picture worked. Sometimes you can see them on your end, but other members can't. Every forum seems to be a little different on attaching pictures.

    Another new guy

Saying hello to the forum. I have been lurking here for a number of years, used to have an account but couldn't remember my original user name so decided to sign up again. Have been a big fan of Smith & Wesson revolvers for as long as I can recall and have had several for many, many years. I...
