Smith&Wesson 686-6 maintenance, storing, and cleaning

Further points I should have wrote 'side plate' and not 'slide plate'. As someone else has already mentioned 'stoning' is not the local night life in the Middle East but rather the fine polishing (not removal) of the release points concerning the trigger. This is a fine science in itself and...

Smith&Wesson 686-6 maintenance, storing, and cleaning

Keep her clean Hi foks, I agree with what people have said. I have only recently joined the S&W revolver club but I have four already. A 617 no dash 22LR, 27-4 357Mag, 686 no-dash 357mag and a 629 Classic 44 Mag. Here is what I have done so far: I already had a full set of Brownells Magma...

Bought a crispy clean nickel 27-2 yesterday..... pic heavy

Nickel delight Amazing that these pieces are still out there and in such good condition. Frankly the thing that I love about S&W revolvers - the sizes, the calibers, the different finishes and grips, old and new models. There is something for everybody to collect and admire. The only...

Thanks Ladies and Gentlemen, Your help and support is really appreciated. The vote has just passed 200,000 and the efforts of the good and honest people like you have made it so. All the efforts on Youtube, Facebook (not my thing but I'm a desperate man) etc are being beemed out there to...

Help needed for us European shooters

Another vote Thanks NJ - are you not one of those persecuted US states? You'll appreciate what we're facing. As if we don't have enough problems with armed, terrorists overseas trying to destroy our way of life we also have to deal with misguided politicians and anti-groups on the home...

Help needed for us European shooters

I'd like to think you guys will always have the rights which we never had. That's why I'm a support of the NRA and in any other way that I can. A handgun can't compete with a Kalashnikov but it can sure make those swine think again. Surely the right to defend one's life is a basic normal...

Help needed for us European shooters

I feel they may have even less strength than old Neville. As always I can count on Texas to offer a strong support. It didn't escape me when I was in Houston ( sorry I didn't have time to explore more of that great state) that the Texan people are proud but defiant and don't like to be mucked...

Help needed for us European shooters

Dear Moderator and S&W friends, Having read the rules I hope that this little plea for help will be accepted by the Moderator and that we can count on the help of my American friends to support us during this difficult time. As you will be well aware there have been some terrible terrorists...

    Advice on a 586 or 686

The wonderful world of revolvers That's what I thought and having the 357's in two different barrel lengths would be a bit more fun. Of course then I'll need to be sure I have the 686 as well as a 586 and I musn't forget a 19 perhaps and a.......

    Advice on a 586 or 686

Thanks for that. Last time I had primer issues was with a Glock 17 I had. The Glock is gone and a Sig Xfive is on back-order to replace that.
