I don't know what to call it, but it's that little lug that contains the locking bolt, spring and pin on the bottom of the barrel. How in the heck was that thing machined on there? And half or full underlugs on the newer revolvers? I've wondered for years, does anyone know?

Most generally a 2.5" 686, or if I'm feeling lazy an old model 40.

I frequently carry my 686 snub in an El Paso Saddlery #77 "Tortilla" Holster under a decent cover garment and it just disappears. Very nice holster. If you're dead set on IWB, I'm sure Lobo Gun Leather or Milt Sparks would be happy to set you up.

If everything goes as planned, I'll be recieving an enhanced pancake for my 40 later this month. It'll be my first holster from Lobo; I'm hoping it solves my J-frame holster woes.
