has anyone tried the federal TSJ synthetic jacket ammunition in a 1917 says it reduces barrel wear and heat. thinking it might be a good idea, and the price isn't too bad, around 50 cents a round. any thoughts ??

mop grips my 32 has these mop grips on it, kinda goofy with the spacer that's why I'm looking for replacement there is a set of stag grips on eBay with the same spacer don't know who made them. are 32 and 38 grips the same ?

just picked up a 1917 and been trying to do some research, it has the serial # on the cylinder, bottom of the grip frame, and bottom of the barrel, inside the crane the frame is stamped S8287 and the crane itself is stamped 8287, the right grip has the 8287 barely visible in pencil and the left...

serial # is 518xxx

just acquired a very nice 32 hand ejector revolver and trying to identify the year and if this was a special build. serial #518xxx stamped 32 long CTG, made in USA, what's odd is the grip, it is one to change the round butt to square but, and some machining was done, looks factory not home done...
