So I just noticed a new noise coming from my 9c and it doesn't sound to great. Whenever I bring the slide to the rear the recoil spring sounds horribly crunchy. What is this and is it bad?

I'm looking for a S&W that can specifically handle this 45 Colt (Long Colt) +P 325 Grain Lead Long Flat Nose Gas Check – Underwood Ammo Its gonna be a woods gun but I also want a shooter so I wanted a 45 lc. I need something that isn't super expensive but I can trade some guns for it.

So went to chamber some 150 grain federal hst's(micro) in my 9c at the range the other day and the gun just froze on the first 2 rounds going out of the mag. Could not drop the mag couldn't rack the slide to the rear nothing. Eventually with an extremely stupid amount of force ripped the slide...

Is there a saftey in the m&p that blocks the firing pin from moving unless the trigger is all the way back like a glock?

I got a conversion barrel for my 40 and it eats up 357 sig. You may wanna get a 20-22 lb recoil spring though so its a little bit easier on the frame since 357 is so hot.
