Congrsts on theShield. Nothing tops the Shield for CC to me. Normally, I'm a Sig person but for my edc it's 9mm Shield all the way. Once I switched the factory sights for Ameriglo it's been a shooting dream.
Like most people have already said try both out if possible. I was on the fence with these guns. My personal experience was I thought the aggressive grip on the xds felt uncomfortable in my hand and I thought it could be prone to snagging clothing. I also felt like the Shield had a nicer trigger.

Alien gear wears nicely but it was on about a 3 week wait when I ordered one. I got a desantis sof-tuk to hold me over until the,alien gear arrived and ended up liking it a lot.
Same here, I've never had a problem getting 7 into my 7 magazine but I use an Uplula also. I prefer the feel of the 8 round mags with the grip extention so I bought 2 more of them off eBay and hardly use the 7 any more.
